A Woman in Her 30s Arrested for Jaywalking at 8th Intersection After Drug Use
A woman in her 30s who was jaywalking across an 8-lane road after taking drugs was caught by the police.
On the 12th, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced that they had booked a woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. A, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Ms. A was found wandering after running onto an 8-lane road in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, around 11 a.m. on the 3rd. Showing signs of incoherent speech and other indications of drug use, the police took her to the local police station for voluntary accompaniment. A rapid drug test showed a positive result for methamphetamine. It was later confirmed that the National Forensic Service also tested positive.
At the time of arrest, Ms. A stated that "someone broke into my house and administered drugs," but she reportedly confessed to the crime during the subsequent police investigation. However, she did not disclose the source of the drugs.
