Analysis Shows High Influx of Instagram Users
The total number of subscribers to 'Threads,' a social networking service (SNS) application launched by Meta, has reached 100 million, while the number of Threads app installers in South Korea has surpassed 1 million.
According to a survey conducted on Korean smartphone users by app and retail analysis services WiseApp, Retail, and Goods regarding the installation and usage changes of the 'Threads' app, as of the 11th, the number of Threads app installers was 1.07 million. This represents a 385% increase from 220,000 on the app's launch day, the 6th. The number of app users increased by 225% from 160,000 on the 6th to 520,000.
WiseApp stated, "Threads can only be joined by Instagram subscribers, so it is analyzed that many existing Instagram installers and users have migrated. It is expected to continue showing a steady increase for the time being."
