DA Technology Restructures Management with Former LG Electronics Executives... Accelerating Future Business Endeavors
DA Technology is strengthening its management succession and future business initiatives by recruiting professional personnel with experience as executives in large corporations.
On the 12th, DA Technology disclosed the list of three new executive candidates, including former LG Electronics Executive Vice President Kim Jong-hoon and former LG Electronics Senior Vice President Cho Joong-kwon, through a public announcement. At the upcoming extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 28th, the company plans to amend its articles of incorporation to add a new business purpose related to non-rare earth permanent magnets and appoint new executives.
DA Technology plans to reorganize its management with new executives who possess professional capabilities to lead the company in the future and to strengthen new business growth engines. In particular, it is expected to gain momentum in future businesses such as Mn-Bi ferrite, urban air mobility (UAM), and batteries for robots, in addition to expanding its existing secondary battery equipment business.
Kim Jong-hoon, nominated as an inside director candidate, is a global sales and distribution expert with over 30 years of experience in product development, product planning, business strategy, and overseas sales, starting as a researcher at LG Electronics. He served as the head of subsidiaries (Executive Vice President) in four countries?UK, Turkey, Iran, and Mexico?for 13 years, leading major achievements such as commercialization of virtual reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and mobile payment services.
Former Executive Vice President Kim possesses excellent capabilities in corporate management, including R&D, business strategy, product planning, production management, and global sales marketing, as well as business process innovation, market risk management, and improving sales and profitability through business portfolio enhancement.
Cho Joong-kwon, nominated as an outside director candidate, joined LG Electronics as a researcher at the Central Research Institute and worked at LG Electronics for 35 years, holding key positions at LG Management Development Institute, LG CNS, LG Group, and LG Electronics Public Relations Strategy TFT. He is recognized as a marketing expert with over 10 years of product research and development experience and more than 20 years of accumulated experience and know-how in public relations strategy, rising from a practitioner to a senior executive.
Former Senior Vice President Cho has a deep understanding of business processes across manufacturing, including product design, research and development, product planning, and public relations marketing, as well as excellent capabilities in product and brand launching and crisis management for various management issues.
Additionally, Kwon Ho, who previously served as CEO of B&D and is currently Vice President of the New Business Division at DA Technology, has also been nominated as a director candidate.
