Beat the Heat! ... HJ Junggongup Gifts Watermelons to Workers and Partners
HJ Heavy Industries' Yusangcheol, head of the shipbuilding division, purchased over 300 watermelons to provide to workers in celebration of Chobok, the beginning of the hottest period of summer.
On the 11th, HJ Heavy Industries bought watermelons to encourage workers who have been sweating profusely day after day amid the rainy season and heat, and delivered them to production site workers at Yeongdo Shipyard, including partner companies.
This event was directly planned by Yusangcheol, head of the shipbuilding division, on the occasion of Chobok with the intention of overcoming the heat wisely together with labor and management united as one.
An HJ Heavy Industries official said, "In midsummer, the shipyard yard’s steel plates heat up to nearly 40 to 50 degrees," adding, "We prepared this watermelon delivery event with the hope that everyone working on site will always spend the summer safely and healthily."
HJ Heavy Industries provides ice water and air-cooling jackets that blow cool air to lower body temperature every summer season to ensure the safety and health of workers.
