Anyone Can Enter Until August 27

The Suncheon World Heritage Festival Committee is holding two contests open to the entire nation.

They are the ‘2023 World Heritage Festival Promotional Video Contest (Seonamsa·Suncheon Bay Battle Trip)’ and the ‘2023 World Heritage Travel Photo Contest’.

Anyone interested in video production or photography can apply, and submissions will be accepted until the 27th of next month.

For the ‘2023 World Heritage Festival Promotional Video Contest (Seonamsa·Suncheon Bay Battle Trip)’, participants upload their work to their personal YouTube account and submit an application form. Winners will be announced on the 31st of next month after judging.

Prizes will be awarded as follows: one Grand Prize winner (2 million KRW), two Excellence Award winners (1 million KRW each), four Encouragement Award winners (300,000 KRW each), and ten Honorable Mentions (gifticon worth 10,000 KRW each).

For the ‘2023 World Heritage Festival Travel Photo Contest’, participants upload photos of Seonamsa and Suncheon Bay to their personal social networking service (SNS) accounts and submit an application form. After judging, 10 World Heritage Awards and 20 Festival Awards will be given weekly.

The committee plans to use the winning works as official promotional materials for the ‘2023 World Heritage Festival - Seonamsa·Suncheon Bay’, which will be held throughout August this year.

Lee Jae-geun, chairman of the Suncheon World Heritage Festival Committee, said, “We expect this contest to be a great opportunity to discover the diverse values of Suncheon’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, Seonamsa and Suncheon Bay, and to produce creative photos and videos.”
