Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation Strengthens Promotion to Boost Seafood Consumption
The Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation recently held a luncheon meeting at Garak Market to promote the activation and safety of seafood consumption, the corporation announced on the 12th.
At this meeting, the corporation's executives and employees toured live fish and dried seafood stores within the market to listen to the difficulties faced by merchants and their opinions on expanding seafood sales. They also participated in seafood consumption by purchasing live sashimi and other seafood for lunch.
With Japan's plan to discharge contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant imminent, domestic seafood consumption is shrinking. The corporation plans to explore various promotional measures to revitalize seafood consumption, starting with this meeting.
