Gwangju Dong-gu Council Climate Special Committee Proposes 'Water Conservation Support Ordinance'
The Climate Crisis Response Special Committee of the Dong-gu Council in Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 10th that it jointly proposed the "Ordinance on Support for the Installation of Water-saving Facilities and Devices for Water Conservation" at the 302nd extraordinary session.
The ordinance includes provisions that allow the district mayor to establish and implement an execution plan containing annual distribution targets and promotion plans for water-saving facilities.
Councilor Park stated, "Our country experiences severe seasonal rainfall variations, and with ongoing droughts due to climate change, the importance of water conservation is emphasized more than ever."
