The Korea Meteorological Administration announced on the 9th at 11 a.m. that a heavy rain advisory will be issued for the southeastern and northeastern areas of Seoul.
The affected areas include Songpa-gu, Gangnam-gu, Seocho-gu, Gangdong-gu (southeastern area), and Nowon-gu, Seongbuk-gu, Jungnang-gu, Gwangjin-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Dobong-gu, Gangbuk-gu, Seongdong-gu (northeastern area).
A heavy rain advisory is issued when the rainfall is expected to be 60mm or more in 3 hours or 110mm or more in 12 hours. It is difficult to fully block the rain with an umbrella, and caution is needed as valleys or rivers may overflow.
The Korea Meteorological Administration also issued a heavy rain advisory for Hanam and Guri in Gyeonggi Province. Heavy rain advisories are currently in effect in 10 locations including Goyang.
