Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is recruiting startups to participate in the ‘Global Companies-G Valley Startup Open Innovation’ project aimed at revitalizing startups in G Valley and fostering excellent new ventures until August 4.
‘Open Innovation’ is an open innovation approach that enhances the efficiency and success potential of technology development by sharing and utilizing external technologies or knowledge during research, development, and commercialization processes.
This ‘Global Companies-G Valley Startup Open Innovation’ project was established to support the development of innovative products by startups based on the technological capabilities of global companies. It is jointly hosted by Geumcheon-gu, Seoul Business Agency, and global companies ASUS and ANSYS.
There are two recruitment fields: ▲ ASUS ‘Smart Retail Solution’ field ▲ ANSYS fields including intelligent mobility (smart mobility), electronics/electrical, healthcare, and general machinery and equipment.
The recruitment scale is about 10 companies in total, with 5 companies per field.
Eligibility includes prospective entrepreneurs and startups located in Seoul for less than 7 years who intend to develop products using global companies’ technologies and are capable of producing prototypes through technical cooperation.
Companies wishing to participate can apply by searching for the announcement titled ‘2023 G Valley Global Weconomy Startup Challenge Participant Recruitment’ on the ‘Startup Plus’ website by August 4. The selection results will be announced in August.
Selected companies will receive commercialization support funds (5 million KRW per company), support for incubation programs, and technical consultations. Additionally, four outstanding companies will be awarded at a future demonstration event, and awardees will receive additional points when applying for startup spaces within Geumcheon-gu (Youth Dream Center, G Valley Startup Cube).
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “Through this project, we hope promising startups in Geumcheon-gu will advance their technological capabilities and gain a foothold for independence. We ask for the interest and participation of many companies.”
