Crisis Alert Level Raised to 'Caution'
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that as the heavy rain advisory expands mainly in the southern regions, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) has activated Level 1 and raised the crisis alert level from 'Interest' to 'Caution.'
As of 5 PM on the 7th, the daily rainfall amounts are 72.7 mm in Heuksando, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, 59.7 mm in Gwangju, 58.7 mm in Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, 56.7 mm in Daejeon, 45.2 mm in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, 42.2 mm in Daegu, 32 mm in Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, and 21.4 mm in Ulsan.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, very heavy rain of 30 to 60 mm per hour accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning is expected mainly in the southern regions until tomorrow.
