The Dong-A University Seokdang Museum building (Busan Temporary Capital Government Office) was recently selected as the ‘Seo-gu Best Record’ by the Seo-gu Office of Busan.
The ‘Seo-gu Best Record Selection Ceremony,’ held to commemorate the highest, first, and only histories of Seo-gu, Busan, was recently hosted by the Seo-gu Office as part of the first anniversary projects of the 8th local government administration.
The Dong-A University Seokdang Museum building, known as the ‘Busan Temporary Capital Government Office’ (a nationally registered cultural heritage), was certified as a historic building that served as the political and administrative center of the temporary capital Busan for 1,023 days and was selected as the ‘Seo-gu Best Record.’
Officials from Seo-gu Office, the institution selected as 'Seo-gu Best Record,' are taking a group commemorative photo.

At that time, major government institutions such as the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs established policies for national reconstruction and managed the national administration of the temporary government despite the war, making it a significant building.
After the war, the building was used as the Gyeongnam Provincial Office, then as the Busan District Court and Prosecutor’s Office, and in 2002, it was renovated into the ‘Dong-A University Seokdang Museum’ to preserve the building and inform citizens of its historical value.
