Gwangju City Council Prays for the Successful Hosting of the 'World Archery Championships'

The Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Jeong Muchang) visited the Gwangju International Archery Field to wish for the successful hosting of the '2025 World Archery Championships' and to support the athletes.
According to the Gwangju City Council on the 5th, Chairman Jeong Muchang and council members visited the Gwangju International Archery Field ahead of the World Archery Championships General Assembly to be held in Berlin later this month, listened to the status of the stadium facilities, and conducted an on-site inspection.
They then experienced archery training firsthand at the training center and delivered encouragement funds to the athletes, coaches, and officials who were sweating profusely despite the hot weather.
Chairman Jeong Muchang said, “Our city has enhanced its reputation as an international sports city by successfully hosting the 2015 Summer Universiade, the 2019 World Swimming Championships, and the 2022 World Archery World Cup,” adding, “We will support the athletes so that the 2025 World Archery Championships can be the most successful event ever, and the city council will also spare no effort in providing active support.”

The 2025 World Archery Championships is an international event with participation from over 90 countries and more than 1,100 people, scheduled to be held in Gwangju for eight days from September 5 to 12, 2025.
