Attendance at National Assembly Policy Debate on the 5th
Over 100 Participants Including Businesspeople
Lee Young, Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, attended the 'Policy Forum on Creating a Women's Startup Ecosystem' held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building on the 5th, where she met with women entrepreneurs and policy experts to hear their on-site voices.
The policy forum on that day discussed policy development to increase women's startup activities as a solution to the low economic growth caused by low birth rates and aging population.
About 100 people attended, including many members of the National Assembly such as Han Mu-gyeong of the People Power Party and Kim Han-jung of the Democratic Party of Korea, women business owners, female prospective entrepreneurs, and related experts, who co-hosted the event.
Minister Lee emphasized, "Creating a women's startup ecosystem that can promote women's economic activities is a very important task for the sustainable growth of our economy."
