CJ Logistics Launches ‘Green Delivery Plus’ Program to Support Small Businesses
CJ Logistics announced on the 5th that it will carry out the eco-friendly logistics support project ‘Green Delivery Plus’ in collaboration with the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise and the Community Chest of Korea. ‘Green Delivery Plus’ is a win-win program for small business owners that provides logistics capacity-building education, which is usually difficult to access, while supporting delivery fees and packaging materials.
The participants are small business owners whose main source of revenue is product sales through delivery services. Thirty companies were selected through a screening process with the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise in May.
CJ Logistics conducted eco-friendly logistics capacity-building education for the selected companies at its headquarters in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The training emphasized the importance of eco-friendly logistics and logistics efficiency, which small business owners usually find difficult to understand, covering topics such as ▲understanding the online distribution structure ▲latest logistics trends ▲eco-friendly consumption trends ▲legal regulations related to packaging and recycling ▲consulting on logistics cost reduction.
Additionally, CJ Logistics plans to support delivery fees and eco-friendly packaging materials to reduce the logistics cost burden for small business owners participating in the program. The eco-friendly packaging materials include one-touch boxes that can reduce the use of packaging tape by 50%, cushioning materials and tapes made of paper instead of plastic to enable recycling. These were directly developed by CJ Logistics using eco-friendly logistics technology.
