"Turned the train into a water sea" floods with criticism
Some audience members who attended singer Psy's 'Hmph Show' reportedly used public transportation while still wet, sparking controversy. The Hmph Show is a concert where attendees enjoy the performance while being sprayed with water.
On the 4th, numerous photos showing a wet subway appeared on some online communities. The pictures reveal that the floors and seats of the train cars were damp and soaked.
A netizen who posted the photos expressed frustration, saying, "(Hmph Show attendees) turned Line 2 of the subway into a sea of water," and added, "What are we supposed to do if they sit down wearing raincoats?"

Criticism poured in, with comments such as, "I don't understand the manners of taking public transportation while dirtying the surrounding seats," and "At least take off the raincoat before boarding, then I wouldn't say anything."
Earlier, Psy hosted the 'Psy Hmph Show 2023 - Summer Swag' at the Olympic Main Stadium in Jamsil Sports Complex, Seoul, from the 30th of last month to the 2nd. Approximately 35,000 spectators attended the concert.
As the name suggests, the Hmph Show is a concert where the audience enjoys the performance while being sprayed with water. Psy first introduced the Hmph Show in 2011, did not hold it for five years after 2012, and then resumed holding it annually from 2017. The show boasts high popularity, with all seats selling out every time it is held.

The problem is that some attendees used public transportation such as the subway while still wearing wet raincoats. This can dirty the surroundings, cause discomfort to other public transportation users, and there is also a risk of passengers slipping and falling on the wet floors.
