Dong-A University College of Medicine 2nd Alumni Association Donates 200 Million Won Development Fund
The 2nd Alumni Association of Dong-A University College of Medicine held a 'Homecoming Day' event and donated 200 million KRW to the development fund.
At the event, the 2nd Alumni Association of Dong-A University College of Medicine donated a total of 200 million KRW to the school’s development fund, which was raised through a combined donation of 70 million KRW, 100 million KRW from alumnus Lee Hyun, and 10 million KRW each from alumni Lee Jae-myung, Jung Il-kwon, and Heo Jun.
The event, held on the 1st at the multipurpose hall of the College of Medicine Education Building on Dong-A University Gudeok Campus, was attended by Dean Kang Do-young, medical school professors, Alumni Association President Jung Yong-soo and 2nd batch alumni, Medical Alumni Association President Lee Min-soo, former Dean Kim Jun-hyun, Director of External and International Affairs Park Hyun-tae, Dong-A University Hospital Director Ahn Hee-bae, and Chair of the Visiting Professors Council Kim Seung-soo.

Park, who attended on behalf of President Lee Hae-woo, said, “I appreciate the 2nd batch alumni of the College of Medicine for visiting their alma mater despite their busy schedules,” and added, “I ask that you continue to be with the alma mater on its path forward.”
He continued, “We will generously support Dong-A University College of Medicine to maintain its reputation and continuously nurture excellent medical personnel.”
Since 2022, Dong-A University College of Medicine has been gathering interest and support from alumni for their alma mater through Homecoming Day events.

They are conducting a handprinting event for major donors (donations of 10 million KRW or more) to the development fund, and after reaching the 10th donor, a unveiling ceremony will be held, along with plans to hold a meeting of major donors at least once a year. Currently, there have been eight donors, and the total amount raised for the development fund is 350 million KRW.
