Korean Culture and Arts Committee to Support Private Dance Troupes' Performance Production
Yoo Hoe-ung Liberty Hall 'Life of Ballerino' and 4 Co-Produced Performances from July to December
The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service is stepping up to support the production of performances by private dance companies.

Arko Daehangno Arts Theater (Theater Director Kang Ryang-won) has selected four works this year for joint planning performances in the dance genre.
According to the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service on the 4th, the selected works for joint planning performances will receive basic venue support along with a cooperative system between private groups and the arts theater through professional producers suited to the genre's characteristics.
The first joint planning performance will be Yuhuiwoong Liberty Hall's "Life of Ballerino," which will be performed at the Daehangno Arts Theater Grand Theater from July 7 to 9.
"Life of Ballerino" features top domestic ballerinos such as Kim Hyun-woong, Lee Hyun-jun, Ryu Hyung-soo, Lee Jae-woo, and Byun Sung-wan, along with about twenty ballet dancers. It sincerely portrays the lives of ballerinos who pour energy and sweat behind the glamorous stage where they are unseen.
Ballet choreographer Yuhuiwoong has been active as a choreographer in various performing arts fields such as musicals, plays, and operas after working with the National Ballet Company. He addresses various issues of modern society with his unique witty perspective as a choreographer.

The 2023 Arts Theater dance genre joint planning performances will proceed with a total of four works and cooperative systems: △ Yuhuiwoong Liberty Hall's "Life of Ballerino" (July 7?9), followed by △ Moher Dance Project's "Straight Line and Curve ver2." (August 10), △ PJH Dance Company’s "A Very Small World" (November 25?26), and △ Wibora Dance Company’s "Gyeok (隔)" (December 8?9). Additionally, as a joint research group, △ Jubin Company’s "Ghost Day" (December 23?24) is scheduled.
