Participants had the opportunity to massage acupoints that help prevent stroke using a gua sha massager by themselves.
During the Q&A and individual consultation sessions about health issues they usually have, the students actively participated and showed great interest in health management through Korean medicine.
Additionally, chronic disease manuals produced by the Jeonbuk Province Integrated Health Promotion Project Support Group and the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention Management Project Support Group were provided, enabling participants to practice dietary habits and exercise therapy at home after the education.
Kim Dae-gon, director of the Health and Medical Center, said, “Through this program, we hope that elderly people vulnerable to chronic diseases will develop the ability to manage their own health and enjoy a healthy and happy later life. We will continue to do our best to improve the quality of life for the elderly.”
