Jeonbuk Province announced on the 3rd that Shin Won-sik, Director of the Agricultural, Life, Livestock, and Food Bureau of Jeonbuk Province, who has been visiting the United States since June 24, carried out activities to expand exports of agricultural and marine products targeting Korean markets in the western United States from June 28 to 29, following his visit to the eastern U.S. region.
This is a follow-up measure to the business agreement signed in September last year between Governor Kim Kwan-young and representatives of major U.S. Korean food distribution stores, H Mart and Hannam Chain, to expand exports of Jeonbuk agricultural and marine products.

Director Shin stated, "Until now, exports of agricultural and marine products from the province have been concentrated in Southeast Asian regions such as Japan, China, and Thailand, and exports to the U.S. have been small relative to the size of the food market. Given the current Korean Wave in the U.S. and the increasing demand for Korean agricultural and marine products, we plan to aggressively expand the export volume of Jeonbuk agricultural and marine products."
