LicenseMedical completes exclusive distribution agreements for 'TargetCool' in 22 countries
Rapid precision cooling technology company License Medical is solidifying its presence in the global market by completing distribution agreements in a total of 22 countries.
Target Cool, developed by License Medical, is a non-contact, non-invasive medical device used for inflammation and pain reduction as well as cryogenic procedures, based on rapid precision control technology.
Target Cool has proven its safety by receiving approvals from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) in Korea, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the European CE certification.
Last month, new contracts were signed with Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Vietnam, completing distribution agreements with a total of 22 countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The total cumulative contract amount, reflecting a five-year plan, exceeds approximately 105 billion KRW.
Additionally, License Medical is developing and commercializing ‘OcuCool,’ a cooling anesthesia device for ophthalmology.
OcuCool can achieve anesthesia effects more than 30 times faster by contacting the eye without drug administration during IVT (Intravitreal Injection) procedures used to treat blindness-related diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
License Medical is currently undergoing the FDA’s de Novo Class review process (a fast-track approval system for new technology medical devices) for the innovative OcuCool technology. OcuCool is the first device of its kind in the domestic medical device sector.
