According to this business agreement, the three organizations will provide a free "Cultural Welfare Voucher" worth 100,000 KRW per person to 8,000 SME workers. The target SMEs will be recruited and selected by July, and workers who receive the support funds can freely choose and use cultural and welfare services through the "SME Welfare Platform" operated by KCCI.
For this project, IBK Industrial Bank contributed 800 million KRW. KCCI is responsible for supplying cultural and welfare services through the "SME Welfare Platform." The Win-Win Growth Institute plans to analyze the usage status of services by workers and research measures to attract SME personnel and improve the SME Welfare Platform. The organizations plan to expand their cooperation scope in the future by researching ways to expand welfare services and attract SME personnel to improve the welfare level of SMEs.
Attending the business agreement ceremony held that day were Woo Tae-hee, Executive Vice President of KCCI; Kim Sung-tae, President of IBK Industrial Bank; and Jung Un-chan, Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Institute, who promised to continue their cooperative relationship going forward.
Woo Tae-hee, Executive Vice President of KCCI, said, "The KCCI Welfare Platform is a public project that meets the diverse welfare needs of workers and reduces the welfare gap between large and small-to-medium enterprises. To achieve practical results, more SMEs need to be encouraged to participate." He added, "I hope this business agreement will serve as a catalyst for the expansion of the welfare platform and greatly contribute to improving the welfare and cultural levels of SME workers."
Kim Sung-tae, President of IBK Industrial Bank, said, "The welfare project for SME workers is part of fulfilling our social responsibility as a corporate citizen." He added, "By supporting the expansion of in-house welfare for SMEs, we aim to encourage long-term employment of employees, which is expected to help resolve manpower shortages and stabilize management in SMEs."
Jung Un-chan, Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Institute, said, "In a situation where the wage polarization between large enterprises and SMEs is intensifying, the effort of large enterprises to take an interest in and support the cultural and welfare lives of SME workers is meaningful from the perspective of win-win growth." He added, "I hope the welfare platform of IBK Industrial Bank and KCCI will greatly contribute to boosting the morale of SME workers."
KCCI's "SME Welfare Platform" is a platform that provides various cultural and welfare services such as culture, travel, self-development, health care, and product malls. Its strength lies in maintaining affordable prices by exempting supplier sales commissions, and SME workers can use the services without membership or usage fees. Currently, about 520 suppliers offer more than 3.6 million products and services, and 290,000 workers from about 22,000 SMEs are using it.
