Defense deep-tech company Shift Dynamics announced on the 30th that it has newly appointed Hong Jae-gi as its CEO. CEO Hong graduated from the Korea Air Force Academy and served as the commander of the Air Force 1st Fighter Wing, head of the Command and Reconnaissance Project Department at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, and deputy commander of the Air Force Operations Command. After retiring as an Air Force brigadier general, he worked as the head of the Strategy Headquarters at Hanwha Systems, a leading domestic defense company, and as the head of the Military Aviation Business Division at Hanwha Aerospace, making him an expert in the defense industry sector.
Shift Dynamics explained the reason for the appointment, stating, "Based on his long experience, leadership, and insight in the defense sector, he is the right person to lead Shift Dynamics' leap and growth, which possesses advanced unmanned aerial system and autonomous flight AI core technologies."
