Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do has unveiled a July travel course that allows visitors to spend the hot and tiring summer in a cool and special way.
The city has designed half-day, one-day, and one-night two-day courses that offer rest and health benefits while avoiding the heat, featuring places like Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest and Gwangyang Wine Cave.

At the Jeollanam-do Museum of Art, exhibitions that transcend time and space, such as "Eternity, Romance, Flowers" and "Another Sea of Asia," are being held in large numbers, attracting art lovers including the MZ generation who prefer unique experiences.

Then, visitors immerse themselves in the gentle night views unique to Gwangyang at Gubongsan Observatory, Yi Sun-sin Bridge, and Haeoreum Overpass, concluding the schedule at Gwangyang-eup Bus Terminal (9 PM) and Suncheonman National Garden (9:30 PM).
Jung Gu-yeong, Director of Tourism, said, "The July Gwangyang travel course is designed as a healing course in nature, including indoor art spaces where visitors can enjoy culture and arts while avoiding the heat, Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest, and the four major valleys, targeting the full-fledged summer heat and summer vacation."
He added, "Our ancestors sought foods that boost immunity and energy during the summer when they sweat a lot. We hope visitors enjoy a healthy and joyful Gwangyang trip by trying representative local dishes such as Gwangyang Charcoal Grilled Chicken, Gwangyang Bulgogi, and grilled eel."
Meanwhile, Gwangyang City continues to present travel courses considering duration and routes, from half-day courses centered on monthly hot places to one-night two-day courses that allow visitors to discover the true charm of every corner.
