This project, promoted as part of the 8th term public pledge, is a customized filial piety administration aimed at ensuring a happy and warm old age for seniors.
The agreement includes mutual cooperation to promote hygiene management and health improvement for seniors in the implementation of the haircut and beauty fee support project, as well as participation in cooperation to ensure that seniors receive proper services by registering as merchants of the Imsil Love Gift Certificate.
The county is already providing senior bath tickets to seniors aged 65 and older, and has expanded support to include haircut and beauty fees for seniors aged 75 and older. Administrative procedures such as ordinance enactment have been completed, and the project is scheduled to begin next month to promote hygiene management and health improvement for seniors.
Seniors aged 75 and older registered as residents in Imsil-gun are eligible for support, but those admitted to facilities or hospitalized in nursing hospitals are excluded. Men will receive three 6,000 KRW vouchers, and women will receive two 15,000 KRW vouchers through the town and township offices.
Additionally, to revitalize the local economy, special gift certificates exclusively for haircut and beauty services will be produced and supported, which can be used at Imsil Love Gift Certificate affiliated stores among salons registered with the Beauty Association.
The county plans to actively guide applications for affiliation to ensure that no salons remain unaffiliated with the Imsil Love Gift Certificate, so that seniors will not experience any inconvenience in using them.
County Governor Shim Min said, “We thank the Beauty Association for cooperating in promoting the haircut and beauty fee support project to improve the health and welfare of seniors,” and added, “Through this public pledge project, we hope to achieve not only hygiene management for seniors but also revitalization of the local economy.”
He added, “We will continue to promote various customized welfare policies for seniors.”
Meanwhile, there are 56 haircut and beauty salons in Imsil-gun, with 13 salons providing haircut services and 43 providing beauty services.
