The Global Goals include quality education, poverty eradication, ending hunger, healthy lives and well-being, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure development, reducing inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, partnerships for the goals, and building peaceful, just, and inclusive institutions.
The youth leaders are conducting mentoring programs using the latest Galaxy devices and technologies from Samsung Electronics and UNDP, and are active in more than 50 countries worldwide. In particular, they participate in various global events such as the Samsung Electronics Unpacked event, the Cannes International Advertising Festival, and the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum to promote activities aimed at achieving the Global Goals.
Meanwhile, various activities of 'Generation17' can be viewed through the 'Samsung Global Goals' application. The 'Samsung Global Goals' app is a platform where Galaxy users can participate in realizing the Global Goals. Users can directly donate through this app or indirectly donate advertising revenue generated each time they view ads. Through this app, a cumulative donation of 10 million dollars was achieved last October. The donations are used to address social and environmental issues worldwide.
