Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to Hold 'Railway Day' Ceremony Tomorrow...105 Meritorious Persons to Receive Commendations
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 27th that it will hold the '2023 Railway Day' commemorative ceremony at a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 28th.
Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and jointly organized by the Korea Railroad Association, the Korea National Railway, and Korail, this commemorative ceremony will be held under the theme "Korea Railways Leading a Happy World," with about 400 representatives and stakeholders from the railway industry attending.
At the ceremony, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will present commendations to 105 individuals who have contributed to pioneering overseas railway markets and preventing railway accidents.

Additionally, to commemorate Railway Day, the Ministry will hold a special railway exhibition on the 3rd floor of the Seoul Station waiting room. The exhibition will display 16 works showing the history of the railway route map from the opening of the Gyeongin Railway. It will be open for viewing from the 28th of this month until the 5th of next month.
