Kim Young-kyu, co-CEO of Studio Dragon, stepped down taking moral responsibility for an embezzlement incident that occurred within the company.
On the 26th, Studio Dragon announced through a public disclosure that the representative structure changed from co-CEOs Kim Young-kyu and Kim Je-hyun to a sole CEO system under Kim Je-hyun. Kim Young-kyu was in charge of the content division, while Kim Je-hyun oversaw the management division. The reason for the change in CEO was cited as "personal reasons."
It is known that CEO Kim Young-kyu resigned taking responsibility for the embezzlement incident that occurred internally. Recently, Studio Dragon received a report that a producer (PD) embezzled company funds during the production process, conducted an internal audit, and subsequently dismissed the PD. A Studio Dragon official stated, "It is difficult to disclose specific audit details, but it was confirmed that fraudulent activities occurred during the content production process," and added, "CEO Kim Young-kyu, who was overseeing the content division, resigned taking moral responsibility."

CEO Kim Young-kyu is a former PD. He worked as a drama production team PD at CJ ENM, producing dramas such as "Flower Boy Ramen Shop," "Potato Star," and "Queen In-hyun's Man," and also served as chief producer (CP) for titles like "Watcher," "The King: Eternal Monarch," and "Once Again." He is especially well-known as the CP of "Mr. Sunshine." In 2016, when CJ ENM's drama business division was spun off to become Studio Dragon, his affiliation changed, and after serving as production director, he took on the role of head of the content division in 2020.
