The 3rd Gangseo Culture and Arts Festival Held
Gangseo-gu, Seoul to Host the ‘3rd Gangseo Culture and Arts Festival’ at Gangseo Artrium from June 30 to July 1
Performances Including Fan Dance, Gyeonggi Minyo, Pansori, and Saxophone Concert to be Presented Alongside the Opening Ceremony
Exhibitions and Hands-on Activities Held at the 1st Floor Gallery Seo and Outdoor Booths in Front of the Entrance
A festival aimed at supporting the creative activities of cultural and artistic groups in the Gangseo area of Seoul and promoting the value of local culture and arts is set to take place.
Gangseo-gu, Seoul announced that it will hold the ‘3rd Gangseo Culture and Arts Festival’ over two days from June 30 to July 1 at Gangseo Artrium.
First launched in 2019 with the Gangseo Culture and Arts Federation at its core to foster harmony between local cultural and artistic groups and residents, the ‘Gangseo Culture and Arts Festival’ has garnered significant interest from the community.
The Gangseo Culture and Arts Federation is composed of representative local cultural and artistic organizations including the Gangseo Gugak Association, Gangseo Flower Art Federation, Gangseo Writers Association, Gangseo Art Association, Gangseo Photographers Association, Gangseo Calligraphers Association, and the Contemporary Music Association.
The event will feature a diverse program including ▲performances ▲exhibitions ▲hands-on activities.
The opening ceremony will be held on June 30 at 6:50 PM at Gangseo Artrium, hosted by announcer No Kyung-mi, with members of artistic groups and residents in attendance.
Following the opening ceremony, the main performances will take place at 7 PM in the 2nd floor Ari Hall. The Gugak Association will present fan dance, Gyeonggi minyo (folk songs), and pansori, while the Contemporary Music Association will showcase saxophone and guitar concerts.
The exhibition can be viewed at Gallery Seo on the 1st floor. It will captivate visitors with 25 flower art pieces, 25 original poems, 30 paintings, 30 photographic works, and 30 calligraphy and literary paintings, guiding them into a mysterious world of art.
Hands-on activities will be held at outdoor booths in front of the entrance. Artists from five associations will participate in activities such as horticultural art, making framed poetry art, face painting, family and commemorative photo shoots, and traditional fan making, offering enjoyable experiences for people of all ages.
The exhibitions and hands-on activities will be available on both June 30 and July 1.
