Saemangeum Cup International Yacht Race Concludes... Thailand's Paist Wins
The "8th Saemangeum Cup International Yacht Race," held around Gyeokpo Port in Buan-gun, Jeonbuk, took place over four days from the 22nd to the 25th and concluded successfully with an awards ceremony on the 25th.

This event was organized by the Jeonbuk Yacht Association (President Jin Hyogeun) and the Saemangeum Cup International Yacht Race Organizing Committee (Chairman Kim Chonghoe). A total of 208 yacht enthusiasts participated, including 45 foreign athletes from Thailand, Japan, China, Vietnam, Russia, the United States, Uzbekistan, and Iran, as well as 163 domestic competitors. The athletes vigorously sailed across the beautiful Gyeokpo Port and the West Sea area around the Saemangeum Seawall, and the event was completed safely and successfully.
In particular, six officials, including Arak Kaewiam, Vice President of the Thailand Yacht Association who led the Thai team, stayed at the venue from the first day to the last, celebrating the successful hosting of the event with great interest.
The Jeonbuk Yacht Association has been exchanging with the Thailand Yacht Association since signing an MOU in 2019. Every year, the Thailand Yacht Association leads its team to participate in this event, strengthening friendships in Korea.

The competition was held in four categories: OPEN, J24, J70, and First28R, where participants showcased the skills they had honed over time.
The winners of each category were ▲OPEN Disco Team ▲J24 Team Saranghae ▲J70 First Yacht Team ▲First28R Team Thailand, who proudly lifted the championship cups, bringing a splendid close to the event.
