Samyang Foods Launches 'Taengle', an Overseas-Exclusive Dried Noodle Brand
Pioneering the K-Pasta Market with a Touch of Korean Flavor
Samyang Foods announced on the 26th that it has launched the overseas-exclusive dried noodle brand ‘Tangle’ and introduced a new product, Tangle Bulgogi Alfredo Tangluccine.
The Tangle brand is the first premium dried noodle brand produced at the Miryang new factory targeting overseas markets, characterized by a chewy texture similar to fresh noodles, achieved by boiling in water and drying at low temperatures for a long time.
Samyang Foods applied a new naming, Tangluccine, combining the brand name Tangle and the wide pasta name Fettuccine, emphasizing similarity to pasta while differentiating it from the existing ramen category.
This new Tangle product combines the popular cream pasta sauce Alfredo in the Americas with the taste of bulgogi, a representative Korean dish, creating a sweet and savory unique cream pasta flavor.
It is a customized product that harmonizes Korean flavors with pasta already familiar to overseas consumers, allowing even those unfamiliar with Korean food to enjoy it comfortably. Additionally, reflecting the common foreign eating culture of cooking all ingredients at once, it applies a recipe that cooks by simmering without discarding water for easy preparation.
The initial shipment for sales in the Americas, including the United States and Canada, has been completed, and there are plans to expand sales to Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and Asia in the future.
