Gyeongbuk Yaksaehoe Building Constructed in Gumi Songjeong-dong with 1.2 Billion Won ... Completion Scheduled for March Next Year
The Gyeongbuk Pharmaceutical Association and approximately 1,700 pharmacists in the Gyeongbuk region have begun construction of their long-awaited pharmaceutical association building.
The Gyeongbuk Pharmaceutical Association Building will be constructed as a three-story building with a total floor area of 680㎡ in Songjeong-dong, Gumi, at a construction cost of 1.2 billion KRW. Once completed in March next year, it will house the association's office, an auditorium, and the Narcotics Eradication Movement Headquarters.

At the Gyeongbuk Pharmaceutical Association Building, routine pharmaceutical association affairs such as pharmacist education will be conducted alongside collaborative projects with Gyeongbuk Province.
The Gyeongbuk Pharmaceutical Association has cooperated with the provincial government on narcotics eradication and prevention, designation of public late-night pharmacies, and has contributed to the health of residents through initiatives like collecting expired medicines.
Until now, the Gyeongbuk Pharmaceutical Association had rented a building in Dong-gu, Daegu, but members faced difficulties due to the limited size of the auditorium and poor parking facilities.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Gyeongbuk Pharmaceutical Association Building held on the 24th was attended by many guests, including the heads of 23 city and county pharmaceutical association branches, Kim Jin-hyun, Director of Welfare and Health Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, local members of the National Assembly, and others. The event included a fund donation ceremony for the building, presentation of plaques of appreciation, and a groundbreaking ceremony.
Gyeongbuk Province expects that once the pharmaceutical association building is completed, communication between the province and the pharmaceutical association will become more active, and various cooperative projects will gain momentum.
