Busan Port Authority President Kang Jun-seok Receives 'Manager of the Year' Award from the Korean Academy of Management
Kang Jun-seok, President of Busan Port Authority (BPA), received the ‘2023 CEO Award’ at the 2023 Spring Academic Conference of the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul at 1 p.m. on the 23rd.
The Korean Academic Society of Business Administration annually selects institutional executives who have contributed to industrial development and corporate management and awards the ‘CEO Award’.
Busan Port Authority has established the ‘Busan Port Smart Strategy’ to leap to the world’s third-largest smart port by 2030, actively promoting projects such as ▲creating new markets ▲supporting technology development ▲certifying corporate technologies ▲supporting joint research and development ▲strengthening education for enrolled students ▲expanding employment opportunities.
As a result of these efforts, BPA was recognized by the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration for its achievements in building an industry-academia-research-government cooperation platform and received the CEO Award.
Prior to this, BPA achieved a Grade 1 rating in the 2022 Comprehensive Integrity Assessment for Public Institutions conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and ranked first among public enterprises in the comprehensive information disclosure evaluation conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. In addition, BPA has received a total of 27 awards and certifications, highly evaluating its efforts and achievements in practicing transparent management trusted by customers and the public.
