KHNP Hanul Unit 2 Reaches 100% Output After Planned Preventive Maintenance Completion
Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Director Park Beom-su, hereinafter Hanul Headquarters) announced, "Hanul Unit 2 (Pressurized Water Reactor, 950 MW class), which began planned preventive maintenance on February 21, resumed power generation on June 21 and reached 100% output around 10:55 AM on June 23."
During this planned preventive maintenance period, Hanul Unit 2 underwent fuel replacement and inspection and maintenance of various equipment such as the reactor coolant pump and low-pressure turbine. Additionally, the reactor head was replaced, and a second auxiliary feedwater tank was newly installed to enhance the safety of the power plant. The unit also completed statutory inspections in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act.
