Hanwha Defense Subsidiary Watches Baseball with 6·25 War Veterans
Invitation of Over 300 National Merit Recipients and Military Personnel
Hanwha Group's defense affiliates, Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems, announced that on the 22nd, they invited over 300 national veterans and military personnel to the Eagles home game held at Hanwha Eagles Park in Daejeon Metropolitan City in honor of the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
Since 2016, Hanwha's defense affiliates have held an annual event every June to remember the sacrifice and dedication of national veterans by inviting veterans, their families, and military personnel to Hanwha Eagles home games. This event was suspended for two years due to COVID-19 but resumed last year.
This year, marking the 70th anniversary of the ceasefire of the Korean War, six elderly veterans who participated in the war at a young age also visited the stadium.
Kim Jin-hwan, head of the Daejeon Metropolitan City branch of the Republic of Korea Disabled Veterans Association, said, “I hope that this regular event will not only honor the veterans but also increase our society’s interest in all those who dedicate themselves to the country.”
