Government to Invest Over 2 Trillion KRW in Super-Gap Project
The Jeonbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Director Ahn Taeyong, hereinafter Jeonbuk SMBA) announced on the 22nd that it held a plaque awarding ceremony for the 'Super-gap Startup 1000+ (hereinafter Super-gap Project) selected companies' at the headquarters of Terrarix Co., Ltd. located in Haseo-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk.
This plaque awarding ceremony was prepared to commemorate the selection of Terrarix in the Jeonbuk region for the 'Super-gap Project,' which is being promoted as part of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' key task this year, the 'Startup Venture Intensive Nurturing' project.

The 'Super-gap Project' aligns with global trends, technologies, and market demands in 10 new industry sectors. It is a public-private joint initiative to nurture more than 1,000 deep-tech startups that will lead the future of the national economy.
The government plans to invest more than 2 trillion KRW over five years in the 'Super-gap Project.' The 10 new industry sectors include ▲system semiconductors ▲bio-health ▲future mobility ▲eco-friendly energy ▲robots ▲big data & AI ▲cybersecurity & networks ▲aerospace & marine ▲next-generation nuclear power ▲quantum technology.
Terrarix is a startup founded in 2019 that develops and manufactures world-class air-cooled and water-cooled fuel cell power packs and core components for hydrogen fuel cells. In 2020, it was selected for the 'Three Major New Business Promotion Policies' award. The BIG 3 new industries are future cars, system semiconductors, and bio-health.
This year, Terrarix was selected as a support target for the Super-gap Project in the future mobility sector and will receive up to 1 billion KRW in commercialization funds over the next two years for global scale-up.
