FSS Holds Corporate Disclosure Briefing Resumed After COVID-19 Suspension
The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 21st that it plans to normalize corporate disclosure briefings, which had been suspended due to COVID-19, starting with Gwangju and Daejeon.
Previously, the FSS has held corporate disclosure briefings 3 to 4 times a year targeting corporations required to submit business reports, aiming to enhance the understanding of disclosure officers and ensure that important corporate information is faithfully provided to the market. Starting with the briefings in Gwangju and Daejeon on the 26th and 27th of next month, the FSS plans to hold three sessions annually this year.
The briefings will cover disclosure systems (such as distribution, shareholding, electronic disclosure) and jointly provide guidance with related departments on matters that corporate disclosure officers must be familiar with. Additionally, education will focus on commonly overlooked issues during the disclosure process, including recent cases of securities registration statement correction requests and key inspection results of business reports. The sessions will also integrate training on preventing unfair trading, such as violations by listed company executives involving insider information use and short-term trading profit returns.
