Daegu Environment Cheong Receives Certificate as 'Best Analysis Institution' in Drinking Water, Water Quality, and Soil Fields
The Daegu Regional Environmental Office recently announced on the 21st that it participated in the international proficiency test organized by the Environmental Resource Association (ERA) in the United States and received the Laboratory of Excellence certification in the fields of drinking water, water quality, and soil.
The Environmental Resource Association (ERA) is known as an international proficiency test operator and evaluation organization in the environmental field, certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

View original imageIn this test, which involved many analytical institutions worldwide, the Daegu Environmental Office participated in a total of 50 items: 17 items in the drinking water field, 21 items in the water quality field, and 12 items in the soil field, all of which received a "Satisfactory (standard score Z-score 2.0 or below)" evaluation.

Since participating in the international proficiency test in 2020, the Daegu Environmental Office has received a "Satisfactory" rating in all items for four consecutive years, providing reliable analysis results through an optimized analytical environment as a national institution.
Choi Jong-won, head of the Daegu Regional Environmental Office, said, "We have been internationally recognized for the accuracy and reliability of measurement and analysis results through the international proficiency test," and added, "We will continue to strive to be an institution that provides trustworthy environmental data."
