Woori Financial Group Donates 10 Million Won to North Korean Defector Children
Woori Financial Group announced on the 21st that it donated 10 million won to support North Korean defector children and adolescents.
Woori Financial stated that on the 16th, it held a donation ceremony with the Community Chest of Korea at Geumgang School in Guro-gu, Seoul. Geumgang School, established in 2013, is a boarding alternative school that provides basic academic improvement education and 24-hour care for North Korean defector children and adolescents.
This donation was planned as part of a support project for alternative schools for vulnerable children. Geumgang School plans to use the donation for meal support, school facility repairs, and book purchases.
