Son Young-jun, an invited instructor from the Local Non-Tax Revenue Operation Team, helped trainees understand through step-by-step education including the concept and basic knowledge of non-tax revenue, demonstrations of the non-tax revenue information system, and practical exercises.

Non-tax revenue refers to the financial resources encompassing all income other than local taxes within local government’s own revenue.
Non-tax revenue items, which include administrative service usage fees, commissions, property rentals and business income from economic activities, and transfer payments arising from accounting relationships, amount to about 2,000 categories.
As a relatively flexible area within the scope not violating laws, it is considered an important potential income source for local governments, as planned expansion and development are feasible depending on the efforts of the local government.
A city official stated, “This training was prepared focusing on strengthening the job competency of responsible public officials due to frequent personnel changes disrupting the continuity of non-tax revenue tasks. We will do our best to prevent work leakage and increase collection rates.”
