Handok Appoints Executive Director Kim Yoon-mi as Head of Prescription Drug Division

View original imageHandok announced on the 19th that it has appointed Executive Director Yoonmi Kim as the head of its prescription drug division.
Handok stated that Executive Director Kim has created various success stories based on her deep understanding, expertise, and leadership in the prescription drug business. Over more than 20 years, she has expanded her work experience in sales, marketing, and business development, gaining experience in diverse areas such as chronic diseases, central nervous system (CNS) disorders, rare diseases, and oncology business.
Executive Director Kim earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Life Sciences from Korea University and also completed an MBA program at the same university. She began her career in 2001 in Handok's sales and marketing departments, then worked as a marketing manager for Viagra and Champix at Pfizer Korea, and served as Business Operations Strategy Director in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) oncology division. She later led the specialty division at Handok, playing a key role in the growth of the CNS and rare disease businesses. Most recently, she served as head of the hematologic cancer and oncology division at Bristol Myers-Squibb (BMS) before returning to Handok as head of the prescription drug division.

Going forward, Executive Director Kim will oversee marketing and sales of prescription drugs and lead business growth. She plans to play a crucial role not only in the chronic disease and rare disease businesses, including diabetes, but also in the growth and portfolio expansion of the recently strengthened oncology and kidney disease businesses.
