As the endemic phase (periodic outbreaks of infectious diseases) continues along with sunny weather, more people are enjoying outdoor activities such as camping and traveling. With the domestic camping population reaching 7 million, the trend of 'Meokping,' which means eating and drinking while camping, has taken hold among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). Reflecting this trend, the food industry is introducing outdoor products that are easy to carry and allow consumers to enjoy a delicious meal.

This product is made by grinding whole soybeans, providing rich flavor and nutrition, and adding a deep, savory taste. It contains up to 99.41% savory soybean juice, making it perfect for preparing summer health food like soybean noodles or dishes such as spicy and umami-rich soybean sesame noodles, which are ideal for stimulating the appetite during hot weather, the company explained. Additionally, Jeong Food's simple cooking product 'Refreshing Vegetable Broth' is suitable for various cold dishes enjoyed chilled, made with Dongchimi broth brewed from Jeju winter radish, domestic green onions, and garlic. Adding this refreshing vegetable broth to ramen, a camping essential, creates a unique cold ramen dish. All products are packaged in sterilized packs and can be stored at room temperature.
There are also products utilizing kimchi. Pulmuone Foods recently introduced 'Two Types of Cooking Kimchi (Kimchi for Stew and Kimchi for Fried Rice).' These products are based on Pulmuone's fermented 'Toktok Kimchi' and enhanced with broth or secret sauces to increase their versatility as cooking ingredients. The new products are designed to differ from regular packaged kimchi consumed as side dishes by having the appropriate ripeness and size suitable for various dishes.
There are also products that allow easy tasting of exotic world cuisines. Harim launched 'Themisik Cooked Rice 3 Types,' which lets consumers enjoy popular rice dishes that capture the authentic flavors of Thailand, Hong Kong, and more. The Thai pineapple fried rice 'Themisik Khao Pad Sapparot' features pineapple and shrimp with a subtle curry aroma, embodying the rich flavors of Thailand. The famous Thai crab fried rice 'Themisik Khao Pad Poo' is made with Annan rice that retains its unique texture, stir-fried with domestic red snow crab leg meat and body meat along with fish sauce. 'Themisik Zhurou Chaofan' is a Hong Kong-style pork fried rice with Annan rice grains infused with rich meat flavor and enhanced with the natural spice star anise. All are frozen products that can be cooked in a frying pan or microwave.
There is also a newly interpreted product of inari sushi, a popular outdoor lunch menu. Samjin Fish Cake introduced 'Yubudeng 4 Types.' Yubudeng is a compound word of yubu (fried tofu skin) and odeng (fish cake). It is filled with fish cake dough inside salty Japanese-style yubu and topped with various toppings such as tuna and sweet potato for diverse enjoyment. The lineup includes Tuna Mayo Yubudeng, Corn Egg Butter Yubudeng, Kuma Kuma Yubudeng, and Hot Chili Yubudeng.
