Busan Port Authority (BPA) is inviting applications from participating companies for the 'Busan Port Partner Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) Worker Vacation Support Project' from the 14th to the 27th of this month.

The worker vacation support project is a system where workers save 200,000 KRW, their employing companies save 100,000 KRW, and the government adds an additional 100,000 KRW, allowing a total of 400,000 KRW to be used for domestic travel expenses.

BPA supports part of the costs (up to 200,000 KRW) borne by partner SMEs and workers when participating in the Korea Tourism Organization’s support project.

The authority has been implementing this project since 2020 to foster a culture of flexible vacations and support the domestic travel industry, having supported approximately 27 million KRW for 138 workers from 42 companies up to last year.

This year, up to 5 workers per company will be selected, and for SMEs with 100 or more employees, up to 10 workers, totaling 75 workers, will be chosen.

Selected workers can purchase domestic travel products using points worth up to 400,000 KRW until October 31.

The eligible participants are SMEs located in Busan and Gyeongnam engaged in shipping, port, or logistics businesses, or those with cargo or passenger usage records at Busan Port, along with their workers. Interested companies can apply through the Sangsaengnuri website.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “We will actively strive to implement the government’s domestic demand revitalization measures and support summer vacations filled with rest and memories for partner company workers.”
