Incheon City to Support Loan Interest, Monthly Rent, and Moving Expenses for Jeonse Fraud Victims... Applications Accepted from the 15th
Incheon City is set to fully launch a housing stability support project for victims of jeonse fraud.
The city announced that it will implement the 'Incheon-type Jeonse Fraud Victim Support' plan starting from the 15th, which includes support for low-interest loans from the Jeonse fund, temporary monthly rent support, and moving expense support for households moving into emergency support housing.
To this end, the city recently obtained approval from the city council and allocated 6.3 billion KRW in the supplementary budget for related projects.
The city will fully cover the loan interest for two years for tenants who have received low-interest jeonse loans supported by the Housing and Urban Fund, such as the Buttress Jeonse Loan and refinancing loans.
Since the city bears the entire interest rate of 1.2 to 2.1%, victims will no longer have to bear the interest burden. Jeonse fraud victims can apply for interest support after taking out a loan from Shinhan Bank.
Additionally, if citizens determined to be victims of jeonse fraud reside in monthly rental housing, the city will support monthly rent up to 400,000 KRW per household for a maximum of 12 months. Support applications can be made after moving into the housing and paying monthly rent at least once.
The city will also provide moving expenses of up to 1.5 million KRW to households moving into public rental housing designated for emergency housing support for jeonse fraud victims. Households that moved into emergency support housing before the project announcement date can also apply for support by submitting proof of moving expenses.
This support measure is targeted at Incheon citizens and will not be provided in duplicate with emergency welfare support projects.
