With the installation of these national grid reference plates, location information will be provided at mountainous points where it is difficult to determine exact positions, enabling swift response in disaster situations and playing a significant role in ensuring the safe outdoor activities of visitors and citizens.
Kim Sajung, Director of the Land Information Division, stated, “Through the installation of national grid reference plates, we will be able to secure the golden time for emergency rescue by accurately and quickly identifying locations,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure citizens' safety by continuously managing and expanding the national grid reference plates.”
