Koramco Forms 'Sustainable Sponsorship Partnership' with Green Umbrella Child Fund
Employees and Company Unite to Pledge Annual Sponsorship of 100 Million KRW
Yoon Yongro, Coramco ESG Chairman, Says "Not One-Time but Continuous"
Koramco Asset Trust and its subsidiary Koramco Asset Management announced on the 13th that they will donate sponsorship funds worth 100 million KRW annually through a partnership agreement with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.
The agreement ceremony held at Koramco’s headquarters large conference room in Samseong-dong was attended by key executives from both companies, including Koramco Asset Trust Chairman and ESG Committee Chair Yoon Yong-ro, CEO Jeong Jun-ho, Koramco Asset Management CEO Park Hyung-seok, and Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Chairman Hwang Young-gi.
Koramco plans to raise donation funds through voluntary participation of all employees, with the company matching the same amount (matching grant), so that both the company and its employees can participate in sharing with one heart.
Koramco is a comprehensive real estate finance company that has maintained the number one position in the private REITs market for 22 years and ranked first in sales among 14 domestic real estate trust companies last year. Recently, it has been advancing ESG management to enhance sustainability across environment, society, and governance.
The Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation is the first private organization to carry out a sponsorship program for underprivileged children and is a leading child advocacy institution. Since 1948, it has been working to improve child-friendly environments so that all children can be respected and grow up happily.
Koramco ESG Committee Chair Yoon Yong-ro said, “Rather than a one-time donation at the end of the year, we will continue and regularly support to proactively heal the pain of future generations. With the mindset that employees sow seeds of hope together, we will find children living in blind spots of livelihood and support them to grow into true adults.”
