Interpark "No.1 in BSP Headquarters Airline Ticket Sales from January to May"
Air Passenger Sales Settlement System
456.5 Billion KRW, 410% Increase Compared to Same Period Last Year
Interpark announced on the 13th that its headquarters' ticketing amount based on the Airline Passenger Sales Settlement System (BSP) from January to May this year reached 456.5 billion KRW, ranking first in the domestic travel industry.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) standardizes the ticketing amounts of member companies authorized to issue airline tickets and compiles them based on BSP. Interpark headquarters' ticketing amount from January to May increased by 410% compared to 89.4 billion KRW in the same period last year. Narrowing the scope to May this year, the BSP headquarters-based ticketing amount reached 100.6 billion KRW, surpassing 100 billion KRW in a single month for the first time this year.
The rapid growth of Interpark's airline ticket business is attributed mainly to the surge in overseas travel demand that had been suppressed for the past three years. Additionally, Interpark offers various special discount airline tickets based on partnerships with over 100 airlines worldwide, including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, T'way Air, and Jin Air.
