7-ton Structure Falls from 1m Height at Ham-an Factory, Killing Man in His 60s
At around 10:39 a.m. on the 9th, a steel structure hanging from a 1-meter-high crane fell at a factory in Gunbuk-myeon, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, resulting in the death of a man in his 60s.
According to the Haman Police Station, the deceased, Mr. A, was crushed by the steel structure, which was about 4 meters in diameter and weighed approximately 7 tons, while moving it with the crane, and died at the scene.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on reports from fellow workers, as it is believed that the crane's connecting hook came off while Mr. A was operating the crane with a remote control.
