Geumcheon-gu, Training for Delivery Platform Workers
Road Traffic Act, Safety Accident Cases, and Labor Rights Education on June 21 at 2 PM
Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will conduct the "2023 First Half Delivery Platform Workers Education" at 2 PM on the 21st at the Seoul Southwest Labor Comprehensive Support Center.
The education targets 40 delivery platform workers who either reside in Geumcheon-gu or work at businesses located in Geumcheon-gu performing delivery tasks.
This education was prepared to address the institutional gap where delivery workers do not receive separate safety training beyond the basic education when obtaining a motorcycle license, aiming to foster a safe delivery culture. Police officers and certified labor attorneys will be invited as instructors to conduct the training.
The curriculum includes ▲ Safe driving methods that coexist with residents ▲ Road Traffic Act and safe driving laws ▲ Safety accident cases ▲ Platform labor and labor rights. Those who complete the training will be supported with funds to purchase safety equipment.
Those wishing to participate can apply by June 20 via the QR code on the promotional materials or through the 'Popup Zone' on the Geumcheon-gu Office website. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
