The agreement focuses on creating urban forests on state-owned land to contribute to carbon neutrality, and on exchanging information and networks related to urban forest creation projects between the two organizations.
According to the agreement, KAMCO will identify long-unused idle state-owned properties, and the Korea Forest Service will cooperate in creating urban forests by conducting feasibility reviews and planting trees.
Through this, the Korea Forest Service expects to expand green spaces for citizens and achieve effects such as mitigating the heat island phenomenon, blocking fine dust, and contributing to carbon neutrality.
