2023 Local Government Officer Written Exam D-2, 2,346 Applicants for Gyeongnam Education Positions
Average Competition Rate 10.4 to 1, Highest for Culinary Positions
The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced on the 8th that 2,346 people have applied for the 2023 local government official recruitment written exam to be held on the 10th.
According to the provincial Office of Education, the competition rate for this exam, which will select 225 candidates across 11 job categories, is an average of 10.4 to 1.
By job category, the competition rates are 13.7 to 1 for educational administration, 23.7 to 1 for health positions, and 37.6 to 1 for cooking positions.
The written exam locations within the province are ▲ Changwon Mechanical Technical High School ▲ Bansong Middle School ▲ Dogye Middle School ▲ Yangdeok Girls' Middle School ▲ Samjeongja Middle School.
Among the scheduled test takers, those confirmed with COVID-19 can apply for a separate test site by contacting the personnel department of the General Affairs Division of the provincial Office of Education via email or fax by 6 p.m. on the 9th, and will be able to take the exam at a specially prepared location.
The list of successful candidates for the written exam will be available on the provincial Office of Education website on July 24, and the final successful candidates will be announced on September 1 after the interview exam on August 19.
The provincial Office of Education plans to inspect the overall operation of the test sites, including quarantine measures, on the 9th to ensure the safety of examinees and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

An official from the provincial Office of Education said, “Examinees must check their examinee number and designated test site in advance and arrive at the assigned examination room by 9:20 a.m. on the exam day,” adding, “We recommend wearing masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ask that quarantine rules be strictly followed.”
